Pharmacy Management

Beej Counter

Pharmacy billing and batch-level stock control, built for Nepal

A cloud pharmacy management system for retail medical stores in Nepal. Beej Counter runs the counter — billing, batch-level stock, purchasing and cash — and keeps the shop compliant with Inland Revenue Department and Department of Drug Administration requirements without the counter assistant having to think about it.

Who It’s For

Retail pharmacies and medical stores, from a single counter to multi-branch chains.

  • Batch and expiry tracked on every movement, not bolted on afterwards
  • Keyboard-first counter designed for speed — the till never needs a mouse
  • Keeps trading when the internet does not, then syncs
  • Fiscal-year invoice numbering that matches Nepali statutory practice

What Beej Counter Does

The capabilities that make up the product today.

Counter Billing

Fast keyboard-driven point of sale with shortcut navigation, held bills, and printed or reprinted invoices.

Batch & Expiry Stock

Every item tracked to the batch, with an auditable stock ledger and near-expiry visibility before the loss happens.

Purchases & GRN

Goods received against purchase orders, with supplier pricing, batch entry, and payables that reconcile.

Returns & Corrections

Sales and purchase returns handled as first-class entries so the ledger stays truthful rather than patched.

Customers & Credit

Credit accounts, running balances and settlements for the regulars who pay at month end.

Cash & Shifts

Open and close shifts with counted drawers, so a discrepancy is attributable to a person and a time.

IRD & DDA Compliance

Statutory billing and drug-administration requirements mapped directly to the way the counter already works.

Twenty-One Reports

Sales, stock valuation, expiry, supplier and tax reporting with defined columns and calculation bases.

Offline & Sync

The till keeps trading through an outage and reconciles cleanly once the connection returns.

Digital Payments

Wallet and QR payments accepted at the counter alongside cash and credit.

Beej Counter — Frequently Asked Questions

Does Beej Counter work if the internet goes down?

Yes. The counter is built offline-first — billing continues through an outage and the till reconciles with the server automatically once connectivity returns, so no sale is lost and no invoice number is skipped.

Does it track medicine batches and expiry dates?

Batch and expiry are tracked on every stock movement rather than added as an afterthought. You can see near-expiry stock before it becomes a write-off, and every valuation report is calculated on the batch ledger.

Is Beej Counter compliant with IRD billing rules in Nepal?

Statutory billing requirements including fiscal-year invoice numbering are built into the product, and drug-administration requirements are mapped to counter workflows. Compliance obligations are re-verified against Inland Revenue Department and Department of Drug Administration guidance each fiscal year.

Can it run more than one branch or counter?

Yes. Branches and individual counters are first-class, each with its own shifts and cash accountability, reporting up into a single view for the owner.
