Money Book — Small Businesses and Homes

Beej Khata

A daily money book for shops, small businesses and families in Nepal, in Nepali or English, that works without internet

Beej Khata replaces the copy book on the counter and the notebook at home. Every rupee that comes in or goes out is one tap: a sale, stock bought, rent, salary, even tea and the daily milk. A shop sees each day’s takings and its real monthly profit or loss; a family sees what came in, what went out and what was saved. Udhaaro is kept both ways, from customers who will pay later and to vendors you settle with at the end of the month.

Who It’s For

Small shops and businesses in Nepal (kirana, jewellery, tailoring, hardware and others), and families who want to keep track of household money. It was built first with a jewellery shop, so gold, silver and stock are handled properly.

  • For a business, or for personal and family money, chosen at the start
  • Udhaaro both ways: customers who owe you, and vendors you pay at month end
  • Daily and monthly reports, with a real profit and loss for a shop
  • Nepali and BS dates, works without internet, installs from a link

What was earned and spent each day of the month, the best day, and the items that brought in or took the most. Tap a day to see its entries.

Monthly Profit & Loss

Beej Khata — Frequently Asked Questions

How do I install Beej Khata on my phone?

Open khata.beejtechnologies.com.np in Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone. On Android, open the menu and choose Add to Home screen. On iPhone, tap Share and then Add to Home Screen. After that it opens from its icon like any other app, and works without internet. If you opened the link from WhatsApp, first open it in Chrome or Safari.

Is it only for jewellery shops?

No. Any small shop or business can use it, and families can use it for household money: at the start, choose For my business or For my personal or family money. Jewellery shops also get gold and silver weight and stock-based profit.

Can I record milk or groceries taken on credit and pay at month end?

Yes. On Money out, choose On credit (udhaaro) with the vendor’s name. It counts as spent on that day, your money in hand goes down only when you pay, and Report → Vendors shows what you owe each vendor with a monthly statement.

Can I use it in Nepali with BS dates?

Yes. In Settings, choose नेपाली and BS (वि.सं.) dates. Months run Baisakh to Chaitra, and the yearly view follows the Shrawan to Asar fiscal year. You can switch back to English or AD dates at any time without changing any records.

Where is my data kept?

Your entries stay on your own phone. The app shares only your name, mobile number, settings and the number of entries with Beej Technologies, so we know who uses it and can help you. It never sends amounts, items, customer names or notes. Take a backup every week from Settings, which you can send to yourself on WhatsApp or save to Google Drive.

What if I change phones or remove the app?

Open khata.beejtechnologies.com.np on the new phone and tap Restore from backup on the first screen. Your entries, settings, name and mobile number come back from the backup file, and you carry on where you left off.
